Gadara was a renowned cultural hub, home to classical poets and philosophers like Theodorus, the founder of a rhetorical school in Rome. Visit Ajloun Castle (Qal’at Ar-Rabad), a 12th-century fortress built by Saladin’s general, Izzeddin Usama, offering panoramic views of the Jordan Valley. Next, explore the ancient city of Jerash, renowned for its well-preserved Greco-Roman architecture. Walk through temples, plazas, theaters, and colonnaded streets dating back over 2,500 years.
