Foot Steps Of Saint Paul + Aegean Cruise

Arrival to Athens International airport and transfer to the hotel for check in.
Athens by night: Your evening tour around Athens and the renowned “Plaka” district, located around the base of the Acropolis, for Dinner with live folklore show at a typical Greek tavern. Return at the hotel and overnight.

After breakfast start a tour in Athens as St. Paul visited it, starting with the market, the gathering place of the philosophers (the Acropolis) also the sacrificing of the unknown God that St. Paul declared to Athens inhabitants. Afterwards visit some of the central squares in Athens, the tomb of the unknown soldier with its unique guardians, Zappeion gardens, the Olympic stadium (the stadium in which was performed the first Olympic games in the world 1896). We will head to old Corinth and its monuments in which St. Paul stayed almost two years and was trialed in front of Galion the emperor. The place that He trialed and imprisoned still exists until this day. We will visit also Corinth canal. Afterwards return to Athens. Transfer to our hotel and overnight.

We return to the capital after a whirlwind few days of adventure and discovery. Transfer to Kalambaka where we will visit some of the Meteora Monasteries (Varlaam Monastery, St. Stephen’s, and Megalo Meteora). Then dinner and overnight in the hotel.

After breakfast, we head to Philippi, the first place that St. Paul was teaching. Philippi is located at northern Greece. There He baptized the first Christian in Europe named Lydia the fabric trader and there is the prison of St Paul as well. Transfer to Thessaloniki, dinner and overnight.

Breakfast in the hotel then we start to move at 7:30 am and arrive at Ouranoupolis port at 9:30 am to sail with a cruise boat to the holy mountain (Mount Athos). We can get the maximum stretch of the mountain monastery of St. Anna and then change the direction to the east where in almost 500 meters we will observe most monasteries and hear information about them from the boat guide. Finally, we return to the port of Ouranoupolis – Thessaloniki. Dinner and overnight

After breakfast, city tour to visit the town that St. Paul visited and stayed a month explaining the books and wrote some of the epistles. Until these days, we can find the places of the Jewish temples but have been transformed into churches having the name of St. Paul. Panoramic Thessalonica, we will visit some of the monasteries such as the Vlatadon monastery & Ormilia monastery. Afterwards return to Athens hotel and overnight.

After breakfast, transfer to Lavrio Port to start our cruise. We leave the historic and classical capital of Greece and set sail for our first destination, the beautiful island of Mykonos, also known as the Island of the Winds. The bodies of giants slain by Hercules formed the island, according to Greek mythology. The most recognizable site on Mykonos is the row of immaculate picture postcard white windmills overlooking the water. Every visitor takes that picture. The Old Town has many delightful cafes and taverns along its winding alleys. Take an evening stroll through the atmospheric Old Town with its immaculate whitewashed houses, winding alleys, lovely little churches and delightful restaurants at the water’s edge. Time will pass very quickly in these lovely, relaxing surroundings.

We arrive in the colorful Turkish beach town of Kusadasi in the morning. This is the coastal gateway to the Hellenistic ruins of Ephesus, famed for one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the Temple of Artemis. A complimentary excursion from our office is included to this iconic site, one of the undoubted highlights of our journey.
Our next port of call is Patmos, a small and charming island a little over 20 square kilometers in size and lying in the Dodecanese. It is famous for being the location of the vision to John the Baptist in the Book of Revelations and where it was written.

Welcome to Crete, Greece’s largest island, a place of mystery, myths and legends. There is the chance to take in the bustling city of Heraklion and some of Crete’s extraordinary archaeology and history. You can also learn more of the art and creativity of the Minoans. Our odyssey continues as we spend an evening in Santorini, whose stunning face is instantly recognizable across the world. We are sure she will take your breath away, with her soaring landscapes, clusters of whitewashed houses in the capital Fira and of course, the iconic blue- domed church at Oia.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight.
