Pyramids of Giza & Sphinx
A guided tour to visit one of the Seven Wonders the great Pyramids of Giza; (Cheops, Chephren and Mycerinus) were reckoned by the Greeks to be one of the Seven Wonders of the World. A single pyramid is built with 2.300.000 blocks, each weighing an average of two and a half tones. In the face of such immensity, one cannot help but feel the wonder and awe that so many writers and artists have sought to convey over the centuries. The Cheops Pyramid is more interesting, because its interior burial chambers are open for inspection by the public. Not far from the Pyramids is the Great Sphinx of Giza, which dates from the time of Chephren (2620 BC). Hewn from natural yellowish limestone and standing 65 feet-high and 187 feet-long, this unforgettable statue combines the head of a Pharaoh with a lion’s body. A quick visit to papyrus institute or a perfume shop can be arranged after the visit.
 
 
The Egyptian Museum 
Egyptian Museum; was established by the Egyptian government in 1835.  The present museum building was built in 1900, in the new classical style by the French architect Marcel Dourgnon.  The museum exhibited collections now exceed 120,000 objects ranges from pre-historic era to the Greco Roman period. It has 107 halls, and the ground floor houses huge statues.  The upper floor houses small statues, jewels, Tutankhamen treasures.  The museum also comprises of a photography section and large library.

Day 2: A Journey into Ancient Egypt – Pyramids & Sphinx Tour.

After a delicious breakfast, prepare for an inspiring guided tour to the iconic Pyramids of Giza while witnessing the majestic Great Sphinx of Giza, a statue with the head of a Pharaoh and the body of a lion. 

After the tour, you’ll have the opportunity to visit the Papyrus Institute or a local perfume shop for a taste of Egyptian craftsmanship.

In the afternoon, relax or dive deeper into Egypt’s ancient history with an optional visit to Memphis, home to the famous Ramses statues, and the fascinating Step Pyramid at Saqqara. Then, end your day with a mesmerising optional Sound & Light Show at the Sphinx.

 

 

Day 3: Immerse Yourself in Cairo’s History & Culture – Egyptian Museum and Bazaars.

After breakfast, embark on a fascinating journey through time as you visit the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, a treasure trove of Egypt’s ancient past. Established in 1835 and housed in a stunning neoclassical building designed by French architect Marcel Dourgnon, the museum boasts over 120,000 artifacts spanning from the prehistoric era to the Greco-Roman period.

Explore its 107 halls, from colossal statues on the ground floor to glittering treasures and jewels on the upper level, including the world-renowned treasures of Tutankhamun

 

There are two optional tours that you can add on your wonderful adventure:
  • Afternoon at Leisure or Optional Tour: Spend your afternoon at your leisure, or opt for an enriching excursion to the Citadel of Saladin, a medieval fortress that offers stunning views of Cairo. Explore the impressive Mohamed Ali Mosque, known for its stunning Ottoman architecture and panoramic city views.

For those choosing the optional tour, a special treat awaits: a visit to the legendary Khan El Khalili Bazaar, one of the world’s most famous and oldest markets. Day 4: Farewell to Cairo – Departure Day

Enjoy a hearty breakfast at the hotel before checking out. Bid farewell to the enchanting city of Cairo as we transfer you to the airport for your return flight, taking with you unforgettable memories of Egypt’s ancient wonders and vibrant culture.
