Board your international flight to Cairo and begin your journey back in time to this charming, ancient land.
Day 2 - Arrival Cairo
Arrival at the Land of the Pharaohs. Upon completion of immigration & customs formalities at Cairo International Airport, you will be met at the exit by our representative and escorted to your hotel.
Day 3 - Cairo – Aswan – Nile Cruise
Morning flight to Aswan. Upon arrival you will be escorted to your Nile cruise ship where you will spend the next 3 nights/4 days. Accommodation aboard your cruise ship will consist of outside junior suite cabin with private facilities. You will visit the High Dam, the Granite Quarries with the Unfinished Obelisk and the Temple of Philae. Sail on board a Felucca, a traditional Egyptian sailboat, and view of Kitchner's Island botanical garden and the Agha Khan Mausoleum (entrance is not permitted). Sail to Kom Ombo. Overnight in Komombo. Meals: Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner.
Day 4 - Kom Ombo, Edfu, Luxor
Visit the Ptolemaic Temple of Sobek & Haroeries. Travel by horse-drawn carriage to the Temple of Horus, the falcon-god, (237 B.C.) considered the best-preserved temple in Ancient Egypt and the second largest after the Temple of Karnak. Sail to Esna, passing through the Esna Lock, and continue sailing towards Luxor and overnight. Meals: Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner.
Visit the West Bank necropolis including the Valley of the Kings, the Funerary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahari and the Colossi of Memnon. (In the evening, optional Sound & Light Show at Karnak Temple). Overnight in Luxor. Meals: Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner.
After breakfast, visit Karnak and Luxor Temples, a centuries-old city of pylons, hypostyle halls, colossal statues, shrines and obelisks. Disembarkation and transfer to the airport for your flight to Cairo. Upon arrival in Cairo you will be met and escorted to your hotel. (In the evening, optional Sound & Light Show at the Pyramids). Meals: Breakfast.
Day 7 - Full day tour in Cairo
Full day guided tour to visit the Pyramids, Sphinx, Egyptian Museum, Coptic region and Khan El Khalili bazaars with lunch in an oriental restaurant. Drive back to the hotel & overnight in Cairo Meals: Breakfast - Lunch.
Day 8 - Final Departure
After breakfast, transfer to Cairo International Airport for your departure flight. Meals: Breakfast.
