Breakfast at the hotel. Panoramic City Tour through the historical center of Bogota, also called “La Candelaria”. We will visit the Gold Museum, where we will see nearly 34,000 pre-Hispanic gold pieces and more than 25,000 pre-Columbian objects. Afterward, we will visit the Casa de la Moneda and Donation Botero where art pieces of the master Fernando Botero, are exhibited. Botero is a Colombian artist internationally recognized in different artistic techniques such as painting, drawing, and sculpture. The tour will end with a panoramic tour of the Plaza de Bolívar (The Prime Cathedral, The House of Nariño, The Liévano Palace and The Palace of Justice). Ascent to Monserrate (with a panoramic view of the city from this beautiful dead volcano). In the afternoon, return to the hotel. (Lunch not included)

In Zipaquira, we will find one of the remarkable tourist sites in Colombia, the majestic Salt Cathedral built 180 meters deep in a salt mine. Later we will go to the Guatavita Lagoon, known historically and worldwide for the legend of “El Dorado”. In the afternoon, return to the hotel. (Lunch included)

Let´s spend a great day visiting the main tourist sites in the city: San Antonio Park, San Ignacio Square, the traditional La Playa Avenue, one of the symbols of the paisa power (Coltejer Building), the Sculpture Park which contains more than 20 sculptures donated by Master Fernando Botero to the city of Medellín, the large traditional houses and mansions of the Prado neighborhood, the Parque de Los Deseos, the Atanasio Girardot Sports Unit where most of the sports practiced in the city take place, as well as the remodeled Macarena Convention Center, the former bullring. Finally, we visit the traditional Pueblito Paisa and end with a tour of the Poblado area, where we will visit the Parque del Poblado, Lleras Park and the Golden Mile, the financial and hotel heart of the city.

At 02:30 pm, a panoramic tour of the residential areas of Bocagrande, Castillogrande, and Manga will begin. Arrival to the Cima de la Popa, where you will have a complete view of the city, guided visit to the convent and church. Guided visit to the San Felipe de Barajas Castle, the most important military engineering work of Spain in America and which protected the city from pirate attacks. At the end of this visit, we will return to the hotel along Santander Avenue where we can appreciate the bastions and walls of the historic center.
